Noise and air volume standards for cooling fans

The noise and air volume of the cooling fan are the two points that buyers are most concerned about. The noise is too loud, the experience is poor, the air volume is small, and the purpose of heat dissipation cannot be achieved. About noise

The noise of the fan is measured in an anechoic room with background noise below 15 dBA. The fan to be tested runs in free air, and a noise meter is disposed one meter away from the air inlet.

The noise value of a fan is usually plotted in an octave band of the sound pressure level (SPL). The effect of a change in decibels (dBA) is shown by the following signs:

A> 3 dBA almost no feeling

B> 5 dBA feel it

C> 10 dBA feels twice as loud

Noise level:

A> 0 ~ 20 dBA is very weak

B> 20 ~ 40 dBA weak

C> 40 ~ 60 dBA Moderate

D> 60 ~ 80 dBA loudly

E> 80 ~ 100 dBA very loud

F> 100 ~ 140 dBA deafening
