Pressure sensors

The pressure sensor is a device or device that can sense the pressure signal and convert the pressure signal into a usable output electrical signal according to a certain rule. The pressure sensor is usually composed of a pressure sensitive element and a signal processing unit. According to different test pressure types, pressure sensors can be divided into gauge pressure sensors, differential pressure sensors and absolute pressure sensors.

                                          different types pressure sensors

Pressure sensor is the most commonly used sensor in industrial practice. It is widely used in various industrial automation environments, involving water conservancy and hydropower, railway transportation, intelligent buildings, production automation, aerospace, military, petrochemical, oil well, electricity, ships, machine tools , Pipelines and many other industries.

Different types of pressure sensors have different functions and principles. Heavy-duty pressure sensor is one of the sensors, but we rarely hear of this kind of pressure sensor. It is usually used in transportation applications to monitor pneumatics, light-duty hydraulics, brake pressure, oil pressure, transmission, and The pressure, hydraulic power, flow and liquid level of key systems such as truck/trailer air brakes are used to maintain the performance of heavy-duty equipment.

The heavy-duty pressure sensor is a pressure measuring device with a shell, a metal pressure interface and a high-level signal output. Many sensors are equipped with a round metal or plastic housing with a cylindrical appearance, with a pressure port at one end and a cable or connector at the other end. This type of heavy-duty pressure sensor is often used in extreme temperature and electromagnetic interference environments. Customers in the industrial and transportation sectors use pressure sensors in their control systems to measure and monitor the pressure of fluids such as coolant or lubricating oil. At the same time, it can also detect pressure spike feedback in time, find problems such as system blockage, and find solutions immediately.

The pressure sensor is the most widely used sensor. Traditional pressure sensors are mainly mechanical structure devices, and use the deformation of elastic elements to indicate pressure. However, this structure is large in size and heavy in mass, and cannot provide electrical output. With the development of semiconductor technology, semiconductor pressure sensors have also emerged. Its characteristics are small size, light weight, high accuracy, and good temperature characteristics. Especially with the development of MEMS technology, semiconductor sensors are developing towards miniaturization, with low power consumption and high reliability.

Different types of pressure sensor have different working principles, such as the following:

The diffused silicon pressure transmitter is made by encapsulating an isolated silicon piezoresistive pressure sensitive element in a stainless steel shell. It can convert the felt liquid or gas pressure into a standard electrical signal for external output. DATA-52 series diffused silicon pressure transmitter is widely used in on-site measurement and control of industrial processes such as water supply/drainage, heating, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, etc.

                                     different types of pressure sensor

The semiconductor piezoelectric impedance diffusion pressure sensor forms a semiconductor deformation pressure on the surface of the sheet, and the sheet is deformed by an external force (pressure) to produce a piezoelectric impedance effect, so that the change in impedance is converted into an electrical signal.

The electrostatic capacitance type pressure sensor forms a capacitance by opposing a fixed electrode of glass and a movable electrode of silicon, and converts the change in electrostatic capacitance generated by the deformation of the movable electrode by external force (pressure) into an electrical signal. (The operating principle of the E8Y is the electrostatic capacitance method, and other models use the semiconductor method).

In general, pressure sensors have taken an increasingly important position in our lives. If necessary, please contact Suzhou Sanda Company. We are waiting for your news.
